I'm new to this site - kinda asked the same question under "Literature" and then saw this heading. Anyway, I need help with research for a book I'm writing that involves Donegal. Anyone know what it was called in 524-532 a.d., before the Vikings showed up and it became known as Castle or Fort of the Strangers (Vikings) - Dun no nGall? Thanks.

was it already called Tir Chonaill? I'm not sure when that started though.

I looked it up, and sure enough, it was called Tir Conaill during the Iron Age, which was early enough to cover the period I was looking for. Thanks!
