dunno about liver but i say spirits that have been distilled well like vodka or whiskey wouldn't be as fattening as beer.

I know people who have yeast intolerances will drink vodka as beer will have them feeling crap.

    In terms of calories: vodka
In terms of impact on liver: majorly diluting said vodka with a diet drink
    Impact on wallet: severe

Yep, I have a yeast intolerance so vodka is all I drink. I presume other spirits have more sugar in them than vodka.

5-10% v/v ethanol in water:D 0% fat and no nasty chemicals.

For least fattening, go with spirits, for least damage to the liver, probably beer, or well distilled spirits with mixers.

A very classy drink indeed ;) but presumably full of sugar?

I presume wine in general is full of sugar...?

Don't plan on sleeping after it though.:p It's loaded with sugar and caffeine.

i drank a bottle of buckfast once (after a few pints) and all i can remember is waking up in accident and emergency. Apparently i jumped out of a window (ground floor) while trying to escape from an angry polish guy. I landed on my head.

As you can imagine I've stayed away from buckfast since then!

    There isn't one.

Ethanol is ethanol; the charter is the charter. Welcome to Locksville.

    Eventually. Probably.

    Head.

This forum is about the mature enjoyment of alcohol. Please have a read of the charter before you continue :)

Edit/ To be clearer, this forum is not about getting drunk. If you want to discuss the healthiest way to consume alcholol than that's where this goes. If you want to discuss getting drunk, then it will end up with a lock. Again, charter. Thanks.

I posted this in AH but it was moved here.....

So I would like to know the healthiest way to consume alcohol in a mature manner which may or may not lead to drunkenness

Being drunk is not healthy at all ever, in the same way smoking is not healthy at all ever.

The healthiest way to consume alcohol is in small quantities, spread out through the week. A drink or two a day is generally regarded as healthy. More, or none at all, is less so.

I know. This is a different forum so a different charter applies :)

There is no "Healthy Way" to get drunk.

    So I'm closing this thread.
