It means for the match to finish in a draw after the specific handicap is applied. In the examples you give, the handicap draw would occur like this:

    Swansea +2.0 1.57
    Handicap Draw 3.00
    Bristol Rovers -2.0 6.50

Bascially it gives Swansea a 2 goal headstart so the draw occurs if the Bristol Rovers win the match by exactly 2 goals (eg Swansea 0 - Bristl Rvs 2, Sw 1 - BW 3 etc etc). obviously as the handciap changes, the result to produce the handicap draw changes. The best example of the handicap draw over the last while is the rugby world cup final. The general handicap was South Africa -9 points. The match finished 15-6 to south africa this landing on the draw and meaning anyone who backed either England or SA with the handicap lost!!

I presume that was an in running handicap judging by the handicaps given - bristol rovers were 2 up at half time.

Swansea +2 would definitely have been the bet in that case - they were 1/2 to win outright before the match - the handicap draw would have won if rovers kept their 2 goal lead.

Cheers, in the event it ended a draw 2-2.

What result would have given someone a win if they took the handicap draw in the following scenario?

    Galway -1
    Handicap draw -1
    Mayo +1

I am presuming Galway would have needed to win by 1?

I don't know why you put the -1 beside the handicap draw. If Galway win by 1 and you've backed the handicap draw then you would win the bet.

That's how it was quoted on PP

    Handicap Draw (-1.0) @ 15/2

I had thought that picking the handicap draw at -1 meant that if the winning margin for either team was 1, I would win-a lesson learned I guess.

Speaking of handicap draws, does anyone on here back them? If you're interested if may be worth your while backing Shels in certain games with the handicap draw market. We've played 16 league games so far and a whopping 11 of them have been single goal margins meaning your be would bet would be up.

    Wexford Youths 2-1
    Monaghan United 0-1
    Waterford United 0-1
    Limerick FC 1-0
    Mervue United 0-1
    U.C.D 1-3
    Sporting Fingal 1-0
    Athlone Town 2-0
    Longford Town 2-2
    Wexford Youths 1-2
    Monaghan United 2-1
    Waterford United 1-0
    Limerick FC 0-1
    Mervue United 7-0
    U.C.D 0-1
    Sporting Fingal 1-0

That's quite a trend. I presume the bookies are on to it though you never know. Might be a task finding the bet type you want though.
