This was my first landscape outing with the dslr since I bought it so any tips and comments are welcome(be as harsh as you can!)

In the first here I was trying to incorporate the plane trail while still keeping the photo interesting with the foreground of the tree and the plain. It's cropped from this photo http://pix.ie/limerickstudent/487528 .In my opinion the sky is taking up too much of the photo but I can't find another crop which really encapsulates the loneliness of the scene so does the photo work for you and any suggestions with a better crop?

Here I was trying out the velvia effect as Carrigman described in another thread. The look at first seemed a bit too over the top so I desaturated it another bit but I'm still not too sure is it overdone. Are the colours too strong for you and hows the composition for you,it seems slightly uneven to me,too much sky again maybe?

Here I was trying to capture the road going towards the nountain pass.Unfortunately I couldn't get an angle that would allow me to do this so I settled with this shot.I purposefully left this one desaturated to capture the wildness of the scene.Anyway how does the composition work for you and do you find it too bland?

Here(yet again:rolleyes:) I was trying to capture the loneliness and wildness of the scene.Anyway do you find the PP too overdone and is the tree too prominent in the photo.Although it is the main subject of the photo for me I can't help feeling it's too large in comparison to the landscape behind it.

And finally a typical long exposure waterfall photo.I tried to make this one slightly different by setting up at an angle allowing the water to flow in a diagonal direction from mid right to bottom left.So any opinions on it and does it work for you?

I hope I haven't gone into too much detail here and asked too much.Apologies if I have:)

You could up the black in the Cyan & Blue selective colour channels, to bring out the clouds.
