Is the XDA ORBIT II/ HTC Touch Cruise better than an iPhone?

    Hi y'all,

Firstly, given the choice I would think that the features on the HTC Touch Cruise (Manufacturer's name for the XDA Orbit II) are just slightly better than those on the iPhone? What are people's thoughts on this?

Secondly are O2 releasing the HTC device in Ireland and if so has a date been set?

I have heard a rumour that the XDA range will be no more and a rebranding to the HP Ipaq name will be coming up shortly. Has anyone heard this also? The rebranding will probably not be a surprise to some as HTC manufactures both the XDA and HP Ipaq devices and the HP symbol may be seen as a more tradeable name than the XDA name?

There is no comparison. They are worlds apart in terms of functionality. The XDA has way more features.

It's not even apples and oranges, more like apples and potatoes. :)

Where did you hear about that rebranding XDAs to HP?
    Sounds a bit strange tbh-
the devices HTC made for HP (ipaqs etc) are completely different to the XDA devices.
The XDA atom is a rebranded HP 6815 (but afaik that wasn't made by HTC but by another crowd altogether).
TBH I don't know of any HTC-made HP devices rebranded by O2 so it seems strange.

The Touch-Cruise/Orbit II looks like a beast alright though. :)
Anyone know when it's due out here?

I Am The O2 Account Manager Who Buys The Stock In To Ireland And I Will Be Selling The Orbit 2 To The Stores W/c 07/04.

The Ipaq 614 Is A Replacement For The Xda Range But They Have Now Released The Second Orbit :)

Just got a HTC Touch Cruise and its the very good in my opinion.

Can't compare it with the iPhone but from a usability, cosmetic and features point of view, it is excellent.

Why compare them to the iphone? Why not to an n95 or a car or washing mashine? Oh, the touchscreen, is it? Or the "hype" surrounding the iphone?
Why not rather say what features you're looking for, and then wait for replies?
