I think I just want to stop drinking! That's what a card club above a pub does for you!

I have just recieved a text message basically advertising this place, from a very odd number +45xxxxxxxxxxxx. I am mystified as to how they managed to get my number since I have never played there.. I'm not so enthusiastic about the fact that my number is on their database to be honest.

got a text about this, I might head down. debating atm. I don't mind the odd poker text, I only get the oddone or two so it's cool with me.

Chance to knock bops out is too much to resist...(then maybe a game of cards:))

Will there be TV to watch Arsenals victory over liverpool?

    A) Yes we have a TV coveage of the footie.

    B) This event has nothing to do with Ladbrokes

    C) I’m really sorry about the delay in replying to this thread regarding text messages – I’ve been in San Remo where there was no Internet connection in my hotel.

All I can do is apologies profusely for anyone that has received unwanted text messages but I can also spread no light on where they originated. We have taken a list of phone numbers from our regular customers and do text them with news/updates on their request. Is it simply possible your messages have been forwarded by a friend in such a way?

I know how annoying these text messages can be. Just this week I received one saying there is a tournament being staged this Friday at Toughers near Naas. Considering we are just three miles from that spot and open for a €110 Freezout that night such news is upsetting alright.

However, with professional dealers at all [full-size] tables, added prize-money, free merchandising for final table finishers and absolute/clear verification that ALL OF THE PRIZEPOOL UNQUESTIONALY GOES INTO THE PRIZEPOOL we are hoping players will seek out the value and come to us with or without text messaging back-up.

    Hi Folks,
I was planning on playing the aforementioned game. But I am interested in the Liffey arms game. How many runners are likely? Is it a freezeout? Is there a website to check out upcoming tourneys and structures etc?

Good luck with the new venue Roy & Mags, I will play there at some stage regardless as I live in Newbridge.

made a brief visit last night, my game was effectively finished when i lost a huge pot racing against roy "the luckbox scandi boy"

there was a very poor turnout for such an event, although people had travelled from cork, belfast, and wexford (by tractor), there was only one Dub present afaik - Gary, the rest were locals

very nice people, prefessional dealers, good location etc - i hope they get the support they deserve and get the club up and running

i'll probably make the trip again next wednesday, the chance of me getting to bop poor innocent people on the telly is too much to turn down :)

...i guess roy won it in the end? boooooo :p

Watched the first heat (non celeb) of this last night on Channel 5 didn’t see the celeb one but, ahem......Kevin Webster from Corry was the winner of that and first out in last nights, JJ into KK.

Good coverage 12:15am - 1:50am. It was a mix of a couple of known UK pros and cardroom regs and the standard was a good STT with lots of play 8K stack, 6 seater.

Jesse May was on commentary with AN Other, Jesse lay off the cheese.
BTW The dealer was the dark girl with the long curly perm from the IO, the one both Julian Thew and Rumit *Somaltia where trying to talk into a threesome (main reason for post) ;)

Where there any supersats going before the €250 sat / will there be for next week ?

i dont think there is super sat's to this satellite, only other way is on partypoker !

Hey Bops. I am sure rag2gar (Gary) could give you a lift in from Dublin.

Sorry about the field size. Next week Ken is bringing up three extra bodies from Cork, likewise Neil from Carlow, Sylvester (Mullingar) and Derek ‘Clamper’ if he has recovered from Amsterdamage.

I’ll get back on to Ivan and Co from Belfast who had to cancel at the last minute on Wednesday, hopefully they can come along too.

Don Fagan might make it along with Sean, Rummit (from Leicester via a Dublin blackjack table) might not go on the beer the night before, similarly Emporium pro Snowy says he is “in”.

I’ll also try to tout some business from the ladies at Galway’s ladies only tournament tomorrow …get it?

Make your own mind up on who will look good before the cameras and who wont – rest assured a player from the the latter category will win our ticket!

Quote of the night came from Ken: “Hey Roy, they should put you in charge of the Irish Open. You would make the guarantee come what may!”

….Never a truer word said in jest.
