    Hi

Can anyone help me in sourcing a copy of the Honda Sat Nav DVD for 2008. A copy would be only fantastic. I have a 2007 Honda Accord but i think any honda dvd will work. PM me if you want. Thanks to you all.

Yeah, these things are expensive. A copy of a dealer will cost about €400! License stuff and all that. BTW A copy of the DVD doesn't seem to work (don't ask how I know! :D )

Are you getting a download error message?if so what message

At the time it just wouldn't read the DVD - it kept saying insert DVD. OEM upgrade worked fine! Thought there was some sort of protection on the DVD itself (ala Playstation type of image, etc).

Book type needs to be set to ROM. The drive firmware doesn't physically recognise DVD-DL.

the ne accord sat nav system is alpine based, i think!
    have you checked on ebay?

also, check through some english honda or accord forums, you may find some answers there.

Is it so that a copy downloaded will not work or has anyone done this before.

Aparently on some models of the alpine units you can force the download if its the correct version ect and it may work, its worth a try if i can find an old disc before paying for a newer version if it doesnt work at all

    Hi,

I'm starting to get error messages "DVD disc error" when I start the car and the Navigation system boots up.

Sometimes it will continue and start working but most of the time, just stays on that screen with the error message

I thought it was a dirty disc, but have tried cleaning and cant see much wear on it.

Am looking for the up to date Europe disc, so if anyone has any "ideas", please PM :)

    Thanks a mil

    P

    Hi Pablo,

You may have better luck putting up a wanted ad on adverts.ie if you're looking for this.

I'm locking this thread as it's two years old.
