    hi,
Was thinking of building a custom pistol (GBB) from scratch has anyone done this before?
Also anyone has any GBB parts (glock or beratta) give me a shout.
    Cheers

depends what your definition is of building from scratch? Buy all the parts necessary and put them together like a kit? Or machine the necessary parts yourself?

first option is just pointless and would cost at least twice what it would to just buy the gun and the second is very difficult and very time consuming

first choice, Im only doing it to create a good project and/or to add onto my beretta

I wouldn't say many people have done this as it's not expensive to get a decent GBB out of the box...

Buying all the parts seperately and putting it together would cost you way too much unless you got two identical broken gbb's for cheap with different broken parts and used all the good parts to make a good one, not really worth it tbh, if you want a new gbb your better off just buying it.

If you want to customize your beretta, then keep it as is and customize it slightly, get new grips, maybe sand the slide to a silver finish if that's to your taste, upgrade the recoil spring to give crisper blowback, if you dont want a silver slide maybe silver barrel instead, there's plenty of things you can do with a gbb externally, but internally there's not much to do, there are plenty of upgrade options for an aeg, but very few for a gbb
