    Hi

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what to do with hair that gets very greasy very quickly. I have a shower at say 10am, then by 6pm my hair starts to get greasy again.

I have a good enough diet, dont eat chips or any shyte like that.

I've tried hundreds of different shampoos with no joy.

Are there any hard-core anti-grease shampoos that I can get from boots or anything?

I've the same problem myself but to date I've found no solution. The best shampoo I've used is the boots own brand for greasy hair but my hair gets used to it.

Don't touch/run your fingers through your hair during the day.

AFAIK there are special shampoos for greasy hair too.

Do you let your hair dry naturally?
I find blowdrying makes my hair fresher for longer.

i have the same problem; its can be very frustrating, i know! if i'm going out i use tressemme clarifying shampoo: its great shampoo - gives nice volume and my hair lasts hours without getting greasy (recommended by my hairdresser a good alternative to salon products). i do only tend to use it at the weekend because my hair gets used to products really easily. switching products around every few days should help (i have a tendecy to have at least 3 shampoos on the go at a time), and also only condition the ends of your hair. i often keep my hair off my face to avoid touching it and making it greasy. i've heard talcum powder can help reduce greasiness (but only use that if you're blond!)

over greasy hair is caused by
    1. stress
    2. diet
    3. touching/brushing your hair constantly
    clarifying shampoo helps..

a great tip is to put in baby powder into your hair this will help dry out your hair a bit and avoid its greaseyness!!Also try baby shampoo as it is much lighter than the adults one, and since the baby powder will absorb most of the grease out of your hair the baby shampoo should not be too light.

Dead Sea mineral shampoo is very good you can get it in most health food stores, some chemists stock it too. There is also a dead sea scalp mask which I found good it keeps your scalp healthy and therefore leaves your hair less greasy. Hope it works for you! (shampoo around €10, scalp mask around €7 i think)

I used to have the same problem, was washing my hair every day because of it and it really started to get to me, the hassle and that I knew washing my hair every day wasn't good for it. When my diet changed and I increased my exercise levels that changed too and there's no going back. I don't have to wash my hair EVERY day now, it's not great the days I don't wash it but it doesn't look all minging, greasy and dirty.
