They seem to do one for all the major brands, including the new HTC Touch Cruse.

    Gotta love the description tho:
The precision pre-cut invisibleSHIELD applies directly to your Touch Cruise, providing the toughest, most durable protection you will find. The invisibleSHIELD has its origins in the military, where it was used to protect high-speed helicopter blades from dust, dirt and debris. Now you can use that same powerful technology to protect your Touch Cruise.

Makes it sound like it'd stop a bullet or something! :D

If your looking for the best invisible cover for your iphone, zen or ipod go here www.bestskinsever.com

Have got numerous ones for different things from them and have to say the quality and price is unbeatable.

For the iphone it was only $7.99 and shipping was $2.50 or you can order three items from their site and shipping is free.

    Dear boardsies,

I bought this for my iPod Nano two weeks ago - it took me 5 working days to deliver from US. Yes, I got it cheaply - 50% off and free delivery.

Enuff of the teaser, here is the link, again thanks to Basquille for posting this, I totally forgot to share this with you guys. :D I think the 50% applies to all products.

    http://www.zagg.com/showspecial

Note that Zagg is the company name, hence the domain name which is redirected to their branding name domain invisibleSHIELD.

Btw, it took me 2 hrs to put that thing on to perfection - but it works brilliantly!

    Have fun,
    Marty

Cheers Marty & basquille for the heads up,

Martys link gives the 50% discount.

Cheers mart_max.. that's obviously why it didn't work directly.

    Sorry about that all

Just ordered one there. Said it will take 3 weeks. I'll report back when I get it. Looks promising :)

So did anyone get one yet? What is it like.
I am just after buying an ipod touch and want to try and keep it nice and new. The price is still low in that link so the offer must be still available.

got mine today arrived about 4 days after ordering using cheapo delivery option

took about 20 minutes to fit, only tricky bit being the folds on the corners

also word of caution to others when removing film for back piece be care with what appears the waste.ie outside piece

only realised after fitting it that that 4 teardrop shapes(cutouts) you see on outside pice of film are actually needed to fill in on the 4 corners

i could only salvage 2 of them the rest had curled up in a mess when seperating the film

looks good nice and shiny on the back i will wait a day or 2 before testing the claims to be bullet proof:)

I got one of these for my I-pod touch about 2 months ago and it's brilliant.
I would recommend it to anybody.
It can be a bit tricky ti fit and you should leave it for 12 hours after applying the cover to using the device.
Looks the biz and works really well too

    Cheers also!

Just got one for my new nokia n95 8GB. My last phone was scratched to pieces, kept putting in the same pocket as keys, this should do the job nicely. For €8.10 delivered at current conversion rates its well worth it!

Thanks for the heads up all!:)

Slightly off topic here, but on Invisible Shields.. I was very happy with them, used them on all my iPods and my Touch but when I got my iPhone I decided to switch to Gelaskins, which I am much much happier with. Much easier application, cheaper, peel off with no residue, def worth checking out. The crystal cover for the front is much better when it comes to the touch screen. The back covers mostly come with art work, not sure if there are any plain ones, but the front sections which can be ordered separately are better than Invisible Shields, I found.

Opened my InvisibleShield packaging earlier.. looks complicated and time-consuming.

Think i'll leave application until the weekend.

Yep a bit time consuming all right - but well worth it

Just got mine for my 3G iPhone, "Time consuming" is an under statement. I'm currently applying the last corner and it just won't stick down
I'm currently using the "palming technique" an typing with the other hand. I'm hoping by the time I have this post written it'll be stuck :(

I'll post back on my progress.....

    here goes....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,193 ✭✭✭✭Basq

Embarassed to say I still haven't applied mine..

But funnily enough, I scratched the cover I currently have on it now earlier today - so it might be an omen to change it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32 HeadBangersBall

.... I don't want to jinx it, but its looking good. keeping fingers crossed...

STICK, because if you don't (shaking fist in a Homer sort of way) !!

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 9,980 ✭✭✭mik_da_man

I had an issue like that with mine too.
I just dried it off as much as I could and left it to dry for about half an hour.
    Then it stuck fine.
Remember to leave it overnight before using it.
Mine is as good as new still..

wrapping a towel around it makes it a fair bit easier

Just wanted to add my two cents worth. Have had mine on for a while now and its great but it is starting to lift at the edges and gathering a lot of gunk.
