Standard blind levels, antes introduced from 150/300 level. Been getting 80ish the last few months. Starting pretty much on time recently as have most tournies there, but if you are going to be late ring and get your name in.

It is really player dependent on finishing time. I would hazard 4.30/5.00 a.m. finish.....

This week however numbers might be down because of people suffering from the Irish open Hangover.....

    We'll wait and see.

I was enquiring about the cost of the satellite buy in... :)

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,859 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

Oh right, I'm fairly sure there are ones for €30 for one ticket or maybe even €60 ones for 2 tickets, but not sure if these run anymore. There are always the one handed Omaha sats if you are too lazy to play a real satellite!!! Sats will start whenever enough people show up for one, but 7pm would be a good guesstimate, possibly earlier.

Details can be found in this..... about six threads down the page.

I'll be in there aswell.... Suffering withdrawl symptons, no cards in 2 whole days...... wow.....

    Time to fix that...

Bah, lost a huge pot 3 handed in the 50DC that'd have pratically gaurenteed me a ticket to this. Next month I suppose...

Good stuff, sounds a great tournament alright.

I've asked before... The legal age requirement for the Fitz is 18 right?

If so that'll do grand, Driving License or Passport do the trick then? :D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 402 ✭✭Sparky1808

Ohh aye and 1 more thing...

I'm a bit of a lazy sh!te on the €euros front. Any ATMs in the club for using debit/credit cards. Or will they exchange sterling there.

    Cheers

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,163 ✭✭✭Slash/ED

18 yeah and there's an ATM less than a minutes walk from the Fitz. You come out of the club, turn right, take the first left and it's just on your left on that road.

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,859 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

Also, You can withdraw money inside at the cashiers desk using credit card, not sure about UK debit cards, but laser works ok. You can definitely exchange sterling, not sure what exchange rate they give though, but I know it is something fixed. No harm to go in and ask, and if you prefer to get money on plastic then either do it there or else go to the ATM as mentioned above, there are a few within a couple minutes walk.

    Merging threads.....

standard casino procedures in place for the changing of sterling. you change at a not so favourable rate but get a receipt that entitles you to change the same amount back at an identical rate.

18's. ID essential if you haven't been in before.
    see you tonight.

4th for 1750, ran into a cardracks Aces,......this game can be soooooo fkin frustrating at times, played one hand very badly at the final table, silly fkin stpid mistake.
Vey bad run of 9 2s etc when it mattered.......

think OZ was in a good position to at least chop it. Norn iron guy came back from the death I hope he got some of the chop although he was a bit of an asshole to MArk (AKQJ10) earlier in the night, I think he realised it and he asked me to apologise for him when I see him..... Sheesh all that calamity of a hand of cards...UL Mark...

Dinjo UL buddy, cardrack ccippled you when a big dog...:(

Nice touch Willie....putting a little run together i see

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,859 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

Well done / hard luck Willie.

I was doing fine in this and had 35k at the 500/1k/100 level when I fecked it away in 2 hads. I played one had badly post flop (should have shoved, but check called after a think), but got it in with 14 outs on the flop, and 20 on the turn but missed for a pot that would have given me 57k, then I lost a 25k coin flip with Oz.

Thanks guys. I ended up getting 2nd for €4200. I don't think I lost a coin flip all night. The winner had me outchipped 3:1 when we got heads up and there was never a discussion of a deal. I cut the deficit to 2:1 and then made mistake on the last hand where we both flopped top pair but his kicker was better; I could have (and should have) gotten away from it, but tiredness took its toll.

UL there at the end, Willie. It sucks to be card dead at the final table. I'll trade March results with you though, if you'd like. :)

Don't know him: young, thin, scrawny beard, curly sandy hair. My impression was he was an internet kid without a lot of live experience with a fairly balanced aggressive game. He did tend to overjam preflop too much at the end. I was able to get him to slow down a little heads up and take some flops once I took a big pot down with top two. I liked my chances against him if I could have kept my A game going at 6:00 AM.

Which guy was this? The 1 seat at the final table? What's the story between him and Mark?

mark reraised half of his stack with AQ, yer man went all in with JJ, Mark had to call obviously....yer man berated him for calling, mark said it was a retarded thing to say (LOL) yer man turned into Bruce Banners alter ego and got a tad nasty......rant rant......all was well....HE soon realised he was off the wall when he calmed down, HOWEVER, you guys should be careful .....saying retard online is one thing but when a big norn iron man is within punching distance, it's not a good idea.....stop saying retard you retards..:) apart from his over reaction he was a good guy,.
