    Hi
Would anyone have detailed instructions for driving from Drogheda to The Outlet in Banbridge.
I've checked the AA Website but the only destination coming up is Banbridge (I'm not sure where the Outlet is situated in comparison ot Banbridge)!
    Thanks a million

Of course it goes without saying you checked the website ;)

The is directions from Dublin and you're in Drogheda but you can follow it

    http://www.the-outlet.co.uk/findus-dublin.php
    From Dublin In detail:
Follow the signs to the M1 (signposted Belfast)
At roundabout take the 1st exit onto the N1 (signposted M1 Belfast)
At border with Northern Ireland continue forward onto the A1
At Cloughogue Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Craigmore Way - A1 (signposted Belfast, Banbridge) Entering Newry
At Mc Cann's Courner roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Carnbane Way - A1 (signposted Belfast, Banbridge)
At Carbane Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Carnbane Way - A1
At Damolly Roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A1 (signposted Belfast, Banbridge)
From the A1 follow the signs for Bridgewater Park - The OUTLET is approx 13 miles North of Newry on the A1 road
Bridgewater Park exit will be a slip road to your left, from here you will see signs to The OUTLET
Welcome to The OUTLET – Happy shopping! We hope you have a great day out.

If you can't make your way from Drogheda to the Outlet, you don't deserve a car. Or the vote....

There's no need for that - I'm only asking!

Thanks for your reply micmclo. Does that bypass Newry - or do I need to go through Newry?

By the way does anyone know the opening hours tomorrow - it doesnt say it on the website! Would an Easter Monday be classed as a normal Monday or would be classed as a Sunday for opening hours?

I'm only joking! I just meant its so easy to get to.
The outlet is right on the main dublin belfast road, at the southern entrance to banbridge. About 12 miles past newry. At the first signpost for banbridge turn left, then take the bridge across the a1 and the entrance is right there. Maybe 50 miles from drogheda. It should be opening early enough, around 9am. They'll be expecting people heading from the south.

Normal opening hours on a Monday is 10am and on a Sunday is 1pm. I'd like to be there early for whenever it opens but I don't want to head up for 10am if its not open for another 3 hours?
Does the car park fill up early??

I've never been in it when its busy so I've no idea. I would imagine it could be pretty busy tomorrow though. It should take you less than 1hr from the N51 Junction of the M1 to get there. If its not open, head into swinging Banbridge amd see the sights and sounds!!

Poorly. If you're going at 9am or on a Saturday allow another 20 minutes to navigate the Newry bypass over what you'd expect.

do you mean shops are no good as i was thinking of leaving dublin about 7 30
am heading up to boucher rd, to matalan and then back to banbridge

I meant the Newry Bypass is no good!

Never done more than clubbing in Banbridge town, I'd not rely on the shops there being up to much. The Outlet however has a decent enough selection.

The Outlet is considered a shopping destination, I don't think Banbridge is itself. I'm not sure if there is the best place to ask -if you are after clothes try here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=464 if you are looking for other stuff, I'm sure there are other boards for that type of stuff.

I think Bus Éireann run some services to Ikea / The Outlet.
