    I have a friend that had one , and know a few at work that have them too , they can be alright , although that lacie one is a bit on the dear side for what it is ,

    The electronics are cheap and tightly packed , so dont expect miracles in terms of quality output , having said that , for the right price its a cheap and cheerful way to get portable media ,

    If on the other hand , you plan on leaving it more or less permanently attached to the TV , then there are far better ways to spend the money , a PS3 springs to mind , which has a swappable hard drive , blu ray , and can do everything one of these things can do and more , I say that , because the price of this is not too far away from a PS3 , there are cheaper ones available , in the region of 100 euro or so.

    I think the price of that lacie is too much to pay for one of these things , considering how much cheaper they can be had , for the price of that lacie you can do so much better.
