I understand low lymphocytes ,Tcell can range from 1.35, question is,
can a person just have low lymphocytes (1.2) as in, not caused by any condition.
I understand its a indication of an autoimmune, but if a person is symptomatic , would there be a true need for future testing.

    another question.
Blood type Kell.I understand this blood type is very rare, its an antigent .Spelt wrong, sorry.
However is there a link between Low L and Kell .None that I could find.
Which made me also question HELLP, yes I know you may have to google to find these but again, just a question. Can anyone point me to a link between with Low l and Hellp and or Kell.

1.2 is low, but threshold low. Further tests are always a good idea.

HELLP leads to immunosuppression which of course will depress T and B cell potential. Its worth noting that steroids and other immunosupressant factors would also depress immune cells. The same is of course true of Kell complications.

thanks for that.I understand the low L , have been low for years as in 15?I wasnt aware that HELLP or Kell can cause immune problems.Only complecation with Kell that I was aware of is Hemolytic disease of the newborn.
Will look more into the pattuen with the Low L.
    thanks,

kell is just another red cell antigen, not especially significant except for transfusion reaction and haemolytic disesase of teh newborn as stated. even at that, it's not one of the most important in those circumstances.

low lymphocyte levels can occur asymptomaitcally from person to person and cause no problems. wouldnt be a cause to worry, even if it's lasting for years. only a worry if you have an associated immunodeficiency really and then sure it wouldnt be asymptomatic.

another question more in relation to Kell, as this blood type is rare I would have thought offers of blood donation, umbilical cord cells would have been welcomed. This, however was not the case.
    any ideas why?
