Looking for my stolen guitar and pedals

I know this is a long shot, but here it goes.

I am looking for my guitar and pedal board which were stolen out of the luggage compartment of a private bus on Good Friday in Arthurs Quay Limerick between 11.05 am and 11.15am. The guitar was a Gibson Les Paul Standard in a case with a Def Leppard sticker on the case. The pedal board was a BOSS BCB 60 (which I bought on the morning of the gig) and had a BOSS tuner, BOSS Chorus, Dunlop Wah Wah and my Marshall footswitch.

Before I get accused of being careless, I am very careful as regards my guitar. I was told to put my gear into the luggage compartment at the back of the bus, which I did as soon as the bus driver opened the door. I put it into the back right hand corner and our drummer put his gear bags beside my gear. Basically, you would have to look into the bus to see my gear or have been watching me.

The pedals I could get over, but I had the guitar for 7 years and did all my gigs with it, so there is a lot of sentimental value attached to it.

If anyone has any info, PLEASE send me a PM. If any knows anything about my gear or whatever, if it was dropped into Henry Street Guard Station there would be NO questions asked. There is a cash reward too.

    Thanks

Yeah, serial numbers are pretty essential in situations like this. Maybe ask one of the moderators for a sticky too. Good luck finding them again.

    Thanks lads.

Unfortunately as of yet I dont have the serial number. The music shop I bought it in has since closed down so I am trying to track down the guy that owned it, and hopefully he has it.

What I do have is that there is one very distinctive feature on it. The ring surrounding the neck pick up, one of the four sides is totally missing. Its the side facing the bridge pick up. I have a pic of it too.

    The colour is Ebony.

    Sorry to hear that.

Post up some pictures of the guitar, maybe someone will recognise it. For future reference write down your s/n's and take pictures of them. I do that, but only one of my basses has an s/n. lol

Woah, sorry about your loss, that kind of thing really brings a tear to my eye. When I go on a bus, I don't let my stuff out of my sight, especially a guitar, maybe try putting it in the seat beside you, or above the seats. Sorry I can't be much more help

That's too bad they got stolen.

You could keep an eye on the various popular classifieds in the country, but as the lads said, without the serial numbers you've no way of proving it's yours if you somehow locate it. And LPs are so common it always makes it harder to ask people to keep an eye out for it.

    Best of luck anyhow.

Sorry to hear about that dude. Have a walk around the market in Limerick some saturday morning, there are sometimes one or two guys there who buy/sell instruments so it might be worth asking them to be on the lookout.
