Does anyone want to try and clone the ball out of the pic below? :) The original full size photo is here.

I have absolutely no interest in football as a sport and I don't understand why you wanted to take the ball out.. so here's my cheating version! 2355394264_cb5c351a34_b.jpg

Do you remember that thing in newspapers years ago (or before I started completely disregarding the sports section) "Place the ball" or something like that where they would print a version like the pic below without the ball and then you'd have to put a mark where you thought the ball was?
Do you work for a newspaper "Whyulittle"? :D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,174 ✭✭✭mathias

Yeah , that would make for a particularly vicious " spot the ball " competition , no way would you ever guess thats where the ball was.

Unless you'd been here of course !

Close, but no cigar. Nah I can just get it put into our match-day programme for some game, just a bit of fun. Like Mathias said, can't see anyone getting it right. :)

I think the multi-ball game would be much more fun, that the traditional, spot the ball one.

Although the funniest would actually be throwing 2 or 3 balls out onto the field... There'd be at least a minute of hilarious confusion!

Well if you're really going for the novelty angle, f u c k it and just put a rabid rottweiler on the pitch. That I'd watch.

Tut, tut, tut, Fajitas. Anyone worth their salt, knows that the game is stopped, if there is more than one football on the field.

For real humour, you need your own fans to crowd your penalty area with balloons, watch in horror as the opposition take advantage of the confusion. :D

Not for Waterford in their Cup Final against Longford a few years back!! Longford even scored when the second ball was on the pitch.

    That was very strange alright.
I was cheering for Longford though. :D

It's the confusion before the game is stopped I'm interested in

Thanks for the Waterford match example - I wasn't sure if that actually happened or not :D

    Hilarious!

Would be the only reason I'd shoot a match :p

The Waterford game isn't a good example, because the second ball didn't lead to any confusion & the goal stood. The officials should have spotted the ball though.
