There are a limited number of Digitalism Tickets on Sale in the main Trinity SU Shop for the reduced price of €10. These tickets have kindly been subsidised by Trinity Ents.

There are 200 tickets remaining for Digitalism Live in UCD on Thursday 10th April 2008. This will be Digitalism’s first ever headline show in Ireland. Hystereo have been added to the bill as special guests with further support coming from UCD Residents Lil Dave, Dave McDonagh & Jevan Neilan.

UCD Students Should consider themselves very lucky to have an act of this callibre playing in their University. Digitalism are in my humble opinion the best electro act in the world at the moment and they just seem to get bigger and bigger every day! The fact that they are playing live should not be overlooked! This means that instead of simply playing CD's on a set of decks they will be producing all the music live on stage using keyboards, electric guitars, synthesisers and lots more instruments. It really is the most impressive live electro show in the world at the moment. If you dont believe me take a look at the you tube video below!

The gig takes place in the cosy confines of the UCD Student Bar – an 850 capacity live music venue which has recently been refurbished with a new €65,000 lighting and sound system - putting it up there with the best music venues in the City.

Doors open @ 8pm with Digitalism expected on stage for their full live show at around 12am. The show finishes @ 1.30pm.

Tickets are only €15 and are available from the following outlets...

Heres a Brief Biography on Digitalism

"Digitalism is a German electro duo, founded in 2004 in Hamburg, consisting of Jens "Jence" Moelle and ?smail "Isi" Tüfekçi. They are signed to French label Kitsuné Music, and have released four singles to date: "Idealistic", "Zdarlight", "Jupiter Room", and "Pogo". Jens likens Digitalism's songs to simple chapters in a complex novel about social interaction and attraction, with distorted baselines and thumping rhythms comprising the punctuation.

Digitalism has remixed tracks for Tom Vek, The Futureheads, Daft Punk, Tiga, Klaxons, White Stripes, Monk, Depeche Mode, Cut Copy and many others, including a re-edit of "Fire in Cairo" by The Cure (entitled "Digitalism in Cairo"). Their tracks and remixes are played by DJs such as Erol Alkan, Soulwax, Boys Noize, and Justice, among others.

Digitalism is pioneering the electro-punk and indie dance movements, making appearances at festivals such as Coachella and various clubs worldwide.

Digitalism's debut album, Idealism, was released 9 May 2007 as Digitalism on Toshiba EMI Records in Japan, on May 21, 2007 on Kitsuné Music in France and on Astralwerks in North America. The album includes re-edits of the previously released singles "Jupiter Room", "Zdarlight" as well as their "Digitalism in Cairo" original re-edit of a track by the Cure which actually doesn't feature a sample from the track.

The Pogo EP was released as a single in support of the LP in May, with two alternate versions of the track."
