I haven't listened to much Deerhunter but the Atlas Sound album is a good bet for 'overrated album of 2008' for me. Completely repetitive, every track sounds practically the same as the last and I find it nigh on impossible to understand what the vocalist is saying.

Very well, although I would have always seen repetiton and incoherent vocals are things best avoided.

a blend of noise rock, art rock, psychedelic rock, punk ambient perhaps?

Looking forward to seeing them again, their Whelans gig last year was one of my favourite gigs of 07.

Havn't listened to Atlas Sound much yet, i'll be seeing both them and Deerhunter at Primavera 'Coxfest' Sound in may, which should be great!
