FIGI-- where to stay and how to book your hotel

    Hi there. i will be visiting figi on my way home from australia. im just wondering where is the best place to stay there. im travelling with my girlfriend and would be willing to spend up to $200 a night for some where decent. Any recomendations trip reports etc. cheers

    google awesome adventures fiji. i was in fiji for a week, 2 years ago, loved it, very simple lifestyle over there. I was staying in some hostel outside of Nadi. For the first 2 days there was no running water, couldn't brush teeth or flush the toilet. Went to downtown Nadi after talking to some people in the hostel. Went to the Awesome Adventures office and booked a 3 day trip around some of the islands. Only thing is, on some of the islands, only dormitory accommodation is available, but it is better than hanging out in Nadi. I found the price very reasonable, food, accommodation and activities provided, glass bottom boats to see the coral, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, and met a great bunch of people. I'm so jealous have fun!!
