Anyone put one of these on their cars? The functional ones, not the dummy ones that are just for show Was just browsin Ebay there, not lookin at anything in particular and came across them. Now they look alright on the big Beemers and Volvos etc.. but i see some that are less "chunkier" then those ones. Eg:

I'm not really a radio person anyway, have the iPod and CDs but i dont wanna rule out the use of my radio completely, u know urself. Is the reception still alright??

They're not for the radio on a BMW - its the booster antenna for the bluetooth phone kit. The radio antenna is built into the rear windscreen.

Unless you're retrofitting a bluetooth phone kit to a BMW - I'l avoid them, think they look crap - and I have a working one on my M3.

My mate fitted one to his R32 colour coded etc looked ok,but the reception suffered! form over function i think not! he ditched it and went back to stock!

Was thinking of one for the Bora but settled on an S2000 aerial.
