Packet-Sniff 3G?

    How secure are you from snoops (that use programmes like Netstumbler or Wireshark or some programme I have not heard of) when you use a 3G wifi card provided by your phone company to access your email, chat, or bank? Are you generally safe from most snoops (excluding Big Brother or your ISP), or is it easy for the general snoop to intercept your packets using a 3G?

    Of course, the bank uses SSL, and I could use VPN if the person on the other end has the key, but in general... How secure am I from the run-of-the-mill packet-sniffer?
