Hi I would like to know does anyone know of a boxing club that accepts people just for training purposes? I just want to train really, I do not see much point in trying to get fights as im in my twentys. So all I want is a good place to train, do bag work, pads and a bit of sparing, any places?????

Collins has a gym that is for adults and anyone can train there, the boxing forum is the right place to ask though! most clubs are for kids or competitive boxers but if you ring around you might be allowed train at 1 of the less busy clubs! boxing forum has a stickie with clubs and phone numbers on it.

If you walked into most clubs demanding to be took on you would be thrown out on your head! what club told you not to take no for an answer?
The only private boxing trainers i know are 1, me! and phil sutcliffe in crumlin boxing club, he's a fine coach and well respected.

It was said to me jokingly. I think he meant that if you turned up to a club you d have a better chance of being accepted than just phoning. I certainly would nt barge my way in to a club or anywhere for that matter.

I just remember seeing a post on the boxing forum about privates.

Check out bridgestone muay thai boxing club. it's not boxing but it's very close and will meet your requirements.
