I've been driving all around Dublin north for the last few years, one thing that intrigues me is the number of cars parked at all hours, with occupants, on the back roads of the airports.

Surley they arn't all plane watchers! Is something else going on here??

I'm sure it's people who wanna be romantic/ people who find it therapeutic / people who are young and have enough money to get a car but not away from mummy and daddy... ehem... yes..

I'd say you might get a few people waiting to collect people from the airport. No point going into the airport and paying parking when you can wait for a phone call and pick the person up at the set down area

When the wind is blowing from the South, you can stand in amongst the lights at the start of the 16 runway and the planes are really low coming over your head. It actually seems like they're coming straight for you until the last second. Good fun!

A fella was dragged out of the car and beaten to death by 3 lads who were trying to rob him. He was Lithuanian or Latvian, can't remember now.

Its usually plane watchers or couples parking, theres 3 or 4 spots around the different sides of the airport that are usually busy.
