    Hi,

I'm doing some research for a short film I intend on making, and am having trouble finding a particular location for it; an old train on which to shoot certain scenes. What I would ideally like to find is an old carraige (circa 1940's) with a cabin. I've already had a look around some train museums but have have yet to find anything suitable. If anyone has any ideas where I might find some old trains as described above, I would be most greatful.

    Cheers!

I'm not sure if they are what you're looking for - but any time I've caught the last train from Dublin to Cork I've certainly got the impression that the carriages were pre-1970.

Years ago I travelled on the Portrush Flyer operated by these guys http://www.discovernorthernireland.com/product.aspx?ProductID=6942
It all seemed pretty old back then.
