    Folks,

just saw this on the powercity website for €199:
    Model: RH266 RH266

    LG 160GB HARD DISK RECORDER
    & DVD RECORDER
    SIMULTANEOUS RECORD & PLAY
    PROGRESSIVE SCAN PLAYBACK
    DIVX DVD PLAYBACK
    HDD TO DVD FAST COPY
    EASY RECORDING

All I want is something to record my programmes and copy some VHS via scart. I know its a basic model but Lidls is €250.

    Thanks,
    Teasup

was gonna post the exact same thread as ya teasup , saw it earlier on powercity site , then quick look through the pages here and saw this
have a philips dvd recorder at the moment ,model 3350 i think it is and has been wrecking my brain with "unknown disc errors" , can anyone at all recommend a good hdd or dvd recorder for around the 250 mark before i go up to the attic and fetch the reliable vhs recorder back down :)
My LG HDD DVD has kind of packed in. It wiped about 20 hours of recordings and now I get this constant 'HDD Reading' Error. Anyone any ideas?

    Much appreciated.

I just bought this in did electrical today for 150. Seems decent enough so far not very easy to navigate at first think it will take me a bit of time to get used to it.

Anyone else got this and know if you can upgrade the firmware ?
