Has anyone got their hands on this album yet? i got it off of my gf who works in <a music store> a couple of days early coz she knows I've been dying to get it.

Have to say, i think its great! I was a bit disappointed with Heavy Water coz the bass doesn't have as much punch in it. Over all its a class album. Great ambiance mixed with nice melodies. Not mad about how they turned up the Ska on the album tho, they added a horn section to most of their songs, and the sax really comes through.. I think the production team thought it would mix well with the synth or something. :s

had this for about a month and my inital reaction was that it was very slow to like. everything sounded the same to me.

now though i couldn't of been any more incorrect. it's a very good album and will tie me over until the new death cab and weezer albums drop nearer the summer.

A friend of mine from the uk has loads of live foals stuff, so im not to pushed about missing that part of the album

Stupid I think is the word.

Can't say I was either overly impressed or unimpressed with the album, all a bit average. Maybe I need to listen to it again, but I don't remember the vocals, in particular, being that great.

Theres an interview on the album up on youtube somewhere with the lead guitest (not yanis) and the synth chap. They said they wanted to make a more chilled out album which is a total contrast to their live sound which is energetic. Personally i think this is bs. Its because the sparcity of their sound cant really be replicated on an album i rekon. Ill use heavy water again as my point, theres no punch in it at all!
