PC world have this at 'half price' - think it was 75 euro. I'm wondering if this is a bona fide good deal. I'm the market for a printer at the moment.

Presumably you mean the HP Photosmart 8450?

Am in the market for a new printer too.
see here but am more interested in the cost of the ink cartridges than the printer. From what I've read Epson cartridges are chipped leaving ink still in the cartridge after the chip renders the cartridge dead. However the compatible cartridges ( you need 4) seem to be reasonably prices at justmedia.ie ( €3.49 each versus €10.90 each at komplett.ie)

    Anyone else have an opinion?

I have A Dell printer that does most of that. Could you you tell me you find the ink cartridges? Expensive, short lived etc... or very good?

Picked one up in Blanchardstown PC world today. Seem to be flying out the door. €74.99 ( down from €150) also available in Currys ( same price)

Got one of these in PC World in Cork last night but it was EUR99.99 although it did say it was down from EUR150.

I was reading some online reviews today (bit late) and it seems that this printer is really heavy on ink, has anyone found this to be the case? - I hav'nt opened it and seriously thinking of returning it.
