Dual Boot Video Display.

I am dual booting a system with both XP Pro & Vista Ultimate.
It has a PCI Express Gigabyte NIVIDIA GeForce 8400GS Graphics card installed.
I have the correct drivers installed for each OS.

I am also using dual monitors.

My issue is with the dual monitor display configuration.

I want to use "SPAN" which gives me one large Desktop across the two monitors.

This is working fine under the XP Pro OS but the "SPAN" option is not appearing under the Vista OS?

I get three options under the dual monitor section in the Vista settings,
    1. Single
    2. Clone
    3. Dual View (Which is not the same as "SPAN")

Is this because of the Vista driver? Is it the driver that dictates the different modes available? or is it in any way related to the OS or settings?

    Recap:
    Same machine
    Same graphics card
    Same monitors
    Different OS's
    Different Drivers
    Span available under XP
    Span not available under Vista.

I have asked Gigabyte & am awaiting a reply.
