    Price: Up to €400

Use: Internet and general document work. Not heavy usage as for parents-in-law. No game playing etc just some online kids java based games for the grandkids when they visit etc.

Spec: Just needs to be able to handle Vista easily as would like to get a new laptop.

    Thanks in advance.

I think you may have the wrong link there, that laptop is €640 not €440.

Edit: This vostro is pretty sweet deal for €450. It should run vista pretty well.

Vista on a celeron and 1GB won't be pretty.

It means that vista is quite resource hungry. The laptop is a pretty low spec so Vista will run quite slow on it. Over time as the install gets full with crap it will become worse. If it was running xp then it would be fine.

ah well so far so good, i'm happy enough... i'm only needing it for the basic MS Office, and internet, so should be fine.

It's working for me. It's 319 excluding delivery and vat. With delivery and vat it's €450ish.

It's just the business part of the site, they don't include vat and delivery on that part.
