Having kept both of these species & many others - I would not bother with the lemmings they are very dull! Zebra aka stripped grass mice are lovely - so pretty & tame down well.

I bought mine in the uk - not sure you will get any over here but I may well be wrong.

Gunthers bank voles are mega cool! So active & lovely cuddles with the occasional nibble thrown in for good luck.
