    Hey Guys,

Thinking about getting a TM M16A2 from redwolf (are these ppl OK to buy from?) pre-upgraded to 325 fps and just wanted to know what ppl here might have thought of it. I quite like the look and the fact it'll take bigger batteries and can be customised. Also can someone recommend me a scope for it? Or anything else that you think might make it more effective?

    Thanks!

if your going for something that price i would recommend maybe the star m16 or the classic army version both are full metal and great items, the tm internal are of great quality but for the price you can get better externals.

    +1 for the star m16.
    magnificent beast of a thing

that price? its only gonna be about 200 yo yos delivered. i'm not sure about the automatic assumption that a metal external is better. i've used the CA and i'm not completely convinced about its build quality TBH

no it isnt ;), and if you think you'll have the marui landed and all for 200 then you underestimate

    ok so options are:

    TM M16A2
    CA M16A3
    Star M16A3

pros/cons of each? the TM is cheapest, then CA then Star is dearest. Also where would ppl recommend getting their choice from? thanks

Watch out for Redwolf upgrades, they can take your money and not install anything according to some people.

I very much recommend either Airsoft Global or PV Airsoft to do upgrades e.t.c.

have to agree with beast also you can add wgc to that list of recommended, we had someone at ctg who payed for a upgrade from redwolf to 1j when we cronoed it can it to rather a bit over

Yeah get the bushings replaced with steel bushings, or even bearings.

hrm, there is a Jing Gong M16A2 thats 325fps out of the box and WAY cheaper. might that be the way to go? Also about scopes, there are million scopes for the M16a2 AEG and the actual weapon, will a scope designed to fit on the carrying handle of the real weapn work on the AEG? would really expand my choices if it would

I'd say most likely yes as they are designed to the same dimensions as the real thing.

JG are one of the best chinese clones. If you're getting one of them get it from eirsoft.ie ect. Lot safer as if there's a problem it'll be returnable.

the only irish supplier that stocks that gun is irish airsoft supplies and they state that NO warranty is available on these guns as they are chinese clones. so bearing that in mind, whats the point in paying the extra to buy irish?

    1. Wont be hit by customs

2.Be delivered faster than from HK

and plus JG are a great maker of clones, look at their g36c range for

instance, never seen one break down, but people with CA g36c's are having

    problems.

    1. most of the time still works out cheaper than irish depends where you buy

    2. on average i get parcels from hk via speedpost 4/5 days no massive

The jg is the best of the bunch not good to compare its quality to the rest of the line, i've heared problems with any make of aeg, jg g36c do have there issues issues with performance can be over the 1j limit etc etc but they are very good.

In the end its up to you there is a lot of information about but irish buying is not the best thing since sliced bread and has its issues, best to do what you want to do an not what other tell you is the best every option you have has the possibility of issues so nothing is perfect.

thanks for that, on the strength of everything i have read here (thanks lads for the input) I've gone for the JG M16A4. now assuming that a scope that will fit the actual weapon will fit my AEG, where can I get an OK scope without spending too much? Fleebay? Also could anyone tell me if the stock gun can take a silence or does it need an adaptor? Anyone recommend me where to get one? thanks a million

If IAS wont give a waranty then ask Shiva(eirsoft) to stock it. He makes orders very regularly and the delay is worth the guaranty IMO.

If you want him to stock it just ask in the eirsoft thread.
