Just wondering if anyone has/has seen the Danish Army flecktarn uniform in person and what they thought of it?

I was thinking of getting the combat jacket (€65) & trousers(€25) off ebay but i've never seen them in person so can't guage the quality of the items or judge how effective the flecktarn camo might be.

You talking about Danish M84 or German Flecktarn?

German Flecktarn is pretty effective in Ireland, M84 which is not dissimilar
    to CADPAT
is not a bad choice either but might be better suited to summer months
as it has less of the brown/tan shades.

Yep me and my team are set to use it. It's pretty good all right (well I like it anyway). Most useful in places where there are a lot of evergreen or confierous foliage.

The majority of the BDU stuff out there though is all knock offs (as with most things). They will have pretty much the same set up as any other combats trousers. The field jacket however I'm not sure about though, I havent has the pleasure of fondling one.

The material on mine is quite tough with a light water resistant coating (enough to protect against misty weather at most I think).

The Danish M84. looks much better than the German imo. Just found the jacket online for €51, very tempted.

    Thanks for the info!
According to the sites I was looking at the stuff should be genuine, jacket is heavy double lined etc.

The pattern is probably genuine but I doubt the cut and design are. The Danes dont produce much surplus from what I can tell.

Doesnt mean that there will be any lack of quality, the imitation stuff is often as durable and hih quality as the real issue garb.

You could be right ... but to quote Flecktarn.co.uk...
"Genuine issue Danish M84 service trousers, new or as new condition..."
    or britisharmysurplus.com
"Original New danish army Flecktarn Combat Jacket/This is not a Mil-spec copy..."

You think it might be just the pattern they are referring to?

Might have to stick with my FCÁ uniform for now.

Dude, friendly advice? Dont use your issue Irish uniform for skirmishing or any non-official purposes. You'll get slapped about by the MP's, chucked off the venue site and probably banned from here if you talk about it.

Check the Charter in the stickies and you'll see why.

Flecktarn do two different versions of the Danish kit, one is issue and about 60 for the trousers alone and the other is a BDU style for civilians which is only about 20.

    Indeed
The wearing of Irish DPM pattern gear while not on duty, or any other clothing and equipment issued by the Irish Defence Forces is illegal under the Defence Act 1954 and it's subsequent amendments.

i got a partizan sniper suit and gorka set on there way from soviet propaganda when they finish making them :)

Nice one, I got a Sniper Suit myself. Work great in Winter/Autumn, when it's darker or dark woodland but KLMK works best in the Summer.

I also have Raster, which is probably some of the best all round camo I've seen. It's the main camo I use.
