Drink all your Good Friday booze last night?

I brought home two bottles of wine last night from work. The theory was that I would have one last night and then the other tonight.

The practice was that I drank both last night and just woke up now with my contact lenses put in their case but not in the solution and a terrible but familiar feeling in my head.

I had planned on doing a serious workout today as there isn't much else to do but now that plan is in the bin with all my other ones.

I also applied for a job I had been meaning to apply to for ages, while drunk on the devil wine. Just read over it now. While still good, there is a sound reason why those career guide books never, ever, suggest getting wasted and emailing companies you'd like to work for.

I'm a positive, optimistic kind of guy, so I've already squared the awkward circle and justified the "surprise binge" by the realisation that tonight will be an enforced night of healthy abstinence.

Did anyone else display poor impulse control last night?

I find myself in a similar situation. I'm supposed to be heading to a party in a couple of hours, I bought 12 cans of miller yesterday, enough for the party today and a few cans last night. Ended up in the pub, brought some friends back, drank all the beer. Now I'm off to the party with

Option A: a half bottle of 3 year old Italian alcoholic stuff which I have never quite identified, looks and tastes like paint thinner and doesn't seem to go with any soft drinks at all.

Option B: A bottle of vintage red wine that I got as a present some years back, cost over €100 and probably tastes like **** by now.

This is the second year in a row!!!

I've 5 cans of Heinken and a bottle of Bud that I'll sell for €100.

Alternatively, I've an untouched bottle of Jager, 700ml, that I'll let go for a meager €300. Pm me.

Just realised I've about 400mls of JD left too, which I'll happily let go to you Boardsies at the Good Friday special price of €150.
