Antique Book

My mother has an old book titled :-

"Robin Hood and His Merry Men" by E. Charles Vivian with 48 coloured plates illustrated Harry G. Theaker

It was published by ward lock & co., limited.

It's in really good condition apart from a tiny bit of superficial damage to the top of the binder, can anyone tell us about this book? Is it valuable, and even if it isn't how best we can preserve it as it is a lovely book.

    Any help much appreciated :)

What was the year of publication and is it a first edition? These two things, along with the subject of the book of course, help determine the value of a publication.

Scan the e-bay and Amazon sites to see if there is anything comparable out there.

As to the binding, go to one of the antique and rare book shops to see if they can offer advice. They may even value it for you.

    Good luck!
