    Hello,

I am getting a 60" flat screen next week. http://www.didstore.com/store_detail.asp?modelcode=60PC45&subid=196

I have a mac with a vga output.

is it possible for me to get a vga to s-video cable? If it is, would there be any advantage of connecting it that way, rather then vga to vga?

    Thanks very much,
    Luke

VGA is a way better connection than S-video , any VGA to s-video converter you would get would be a major step down.

If the TV has a VGA connection then use that , there would be no sense in using S-video.

For a computer ,an S-video picture will be very poor on that TV , thats guaranteed , go VGA if at all possible.

And this is an aside, please dont take offence , but you said that your not getting the TV till next week so a change of mind is possible yes ?

I strongly suggest you do that as well , its only 1366 x 768 , for a 60 inch at that price that is very very poor , for that money you can do so much better ! You should be looking at at least 1920 x 1080 ( whats known as full HD ) for that money these days.

2800 will get you a very nice full HD set , infinitely better than that LG.

Have to agree also. LG aren't anywhere near the best in Plasma TV brands.
There is a superb 50" Panasonic for €2500, far far better than the LG 60".
