Help please; I hope this is the right place for this question.
Is it legal for me to send a bottle of whiskey to the USA (by normal air post?)
    Thanks in advance.

    No.

Little factoid you are probably not interested in.

The Kennedy family as in some part of the JFK family, still to this day receive a fee for all whiskey imported into the US, it goes back to the days of prohibition

Just send them $30, Irish Whiskey is probably cheaper in the US than it is in Ireland. Jameson costs me about €19.60 for a litre bottle here in France. Mad or what?

No hassle solution is find a website in the USA where you can buy the bottle and have them send it out.

Probably cheaper in the long-run too.

€19.60 sounds like a lot in france. Last time I was there, it could be got in the supermarkets for €16

That's a litre bottle, a regular bottle is about €14.80.

The cheapest I saw today (when I went looking for a bottle) was €17:80

Good old French inflation (while wages drop!) :)
