    Anyone been to this venue on parnell street? Is it worth checking out? theres a gig there this weekend but dont want to waste my weekend night if its a complete kip...

    Its pretty standard pub room venue. Low ceiling, stage, bar and sticky floor!
    What else do you need?

    Horrible pub but for some reason they seem to get good bands there. Saw Mael Mhorda there once.

    Actually now that I think about it isnt Conways closed down and I know a few gigs from the BBR had to be cancelled. Is that closed too?

    I think it's moved somewhere else now that Conways is closed. Not sure where though.

    And yes it's a kip but it's a cosy kip.

    not sure where fibbers is.... its down the end near the ambasador across the road from the AIB.... beside a Londis!!!!

    Oh Christ. I was in there for a gig a few weeks ago. It seems to be an abandoned niteclub. There isn't even a bar upstairs where the stage is! Complete hole of a place. And I'm supposed to be playing a gig there.

    i think the bbr is downstairs in murrays, unless thats changed. played a gig there a few weeks back...theres a bar downstairs!!!

    Yes the new Boom Boom Room is quite cool. We did a gig there a few weeks back. It's had only opened so it was a bit gammy in places but it has potential I think. Of course the old one was better but this is ON o conell street and the venue is cheapish and the sound guy is one of the best in town too imo (after about 2 years of dealing with angry narky sound guys). Pity it's below such a gypo pub.
