Only one venue on this island has ever been in that list IIRC - Lush in Portrush - not sure why its dropped off. Getting a bit shabby decor-wise but it is still the club it always was.

Thought se one used to be way up that list.

Take all polls with a pinch of salt. Wasn't Robbie Williams Angels voted the best song ever on a huge poll a few years back?!

Space is deadly but not the best club there are better, i notice @ number 44. Se One (London) home to Raindance and Moondance and various other club nites, SE One is a deep down and dirty maze of tunnels and should be higher on that list.

I've also noticed Trilogy in Dubai is in at number 47, again this club should be a lot higher, ive been there and can confirm it is indeed a top club.

Pinch of salt is right sure look at the likes of Fatboy slim etc being right up there in the top flight, some muppets just vote for what they hear rather than what they know.

This poll is done by asking the DJs not the punters - IIRC when they had one done by the punters it was whatever large UK clubs had been hosting Gatecrasher/Godskitchen events that repeatedly came out on top, very little in the way of international venues getting in at all.

Realistically I think theres no clubs in the Republic with a chance, South in Tramore might have been...

Lol @ the South one, the idea was good alright

Back in the days when we had a dance music press here (well, we do again now), there was rarely anything but praise for that venue from the big DJs it had - which is what this list relies on. Although more of those comments seemed to be about the Irish being absolutely mental, rather than the venue :D

Not too sure if I'd place the end up that high tbh... wasn't overly impressed with it...
Guess the djs voted for it due to the sound system rather than the venue itself...
Had a much better time in Fabric when I was over there, took a wee while to get my bearings there!:p

Fans voted one is in this issue.

Two clubs on this island, no clues for guessing what one is

The Republic hasn't got any superclubs, the North only has the one.

It also has one of the smaller venues that get noticed...:

Actually just been told thats the DJs one, I didn't bother reading it, was waiting to get the physical magazine. Reason we'd have not seen the two "Irish" clubs is they're both >50.

    Doh.

yeah... if u like ministry of sound, there is a compilation series you should check out called "Euro Club Hits" --

it's pretty clear that dance music is coming back around the world -- just check the recent big American hip-hop and R&B hits which are clear rip-offs of the european dance style.....

here's the direct iTunes link to the "Euro Club Hits" series.....
