Full Size headphones for MP3 PLayer

I want to be able to use full size headphones but the problem is most of them have a large jack and altough it will generaly have a small jack inside it because they are designed for Hi-Fi use the jack adapter sticks out to much causing far to much leverage if it takes a slight knock I have destroyred 1 mp3 player and 3 remotes this way.

Is there any Full Size headphones fitted with a small jack rather than a big jack that can be screws of to reveal a smaller one.
