Would a taxi from the city centre be quickest way out there? I'd be leaving at 17.30 if any wants to share a cab.

the subtext is that PPP are unlikely to make the required numbers to cover the guaranteed prize pool - at least according to the email I got earlier from Poker Ireland

570 reg'd to date with 715 required to cover the 3m, nasty hit for PPP if that's correct you'd have to wonder about the wisdom of increasing the buy-in by 50% (if this is correct)

I agree but i was geniunely interested until i realised it was €300 rebuys with a 2k stack. Thats nearly as bad as the rake.

Damn. I was offered an over/under by someone last night (infrequent boards user who I won't name). The mark was 900 and a tenner a point was offered. He was offering me the under, but me being too sensible refused. No wonder the few people I asked last night out there said they didn't have the figures for players regged. Maybe though, they just didn't have the figures :)

I reckon they will meet the guarantee 316 today and tomorrow will easily go over that.

    My guess about 750 altogether..

don't get me wrong, I hope they do.

I don't really know what way registration patterns go at these major events. Hopefully there is a last minute rush and this supersat generates a lot of tickets also. If not however, PPP may need to reflect on their pricing policy....

Will the 2k Stack be blinded if you miss a level or do you start off with 2k, when you arrive...?

I hope there are only 600 runners for a nice fat overlay. It will also show organisers that they can't keep pricing people out of the game.

Can you play if you've been knocked out of the main event?

If you can can you use the ticket?

If you somehow manage to do this, you will be disqualified if/when you are caught as it is against every rule and principle in the place.

They will meet guarantee. They need just over 400 people tomorrow roughly and Good Friday is going be much more popular then today imo

Plenty of people in last night's super sat had already qualified. i presume they were given the cash equivalent not a ticket.

If PPP are facing a 100+ player shortfall I'm sure they will do anything to bolster the numbers.

they got too greedy in making it a 4500 buy in, priced a lot of people out of it. what was wrong with 3500?

Same reason why the EPT increased the buyin to 8k. More money equals more reg equals more profit; more money equals bigger prizepool equals more media exposure and publicity.

    Hi all,

Just to let everyone know that there will be a few last minute satellites from 12 noon in the Citywest.

I am working on the reg desk for the whole event and in my humble opinion I think there will be a substantial overlay in the main event so its great value for players at the moment as reg is staying open up to 2pm.

Also, I am fairly sure that there would be a good few €50 blind one handed omaha satellites from 12 noon today. These would give one player the buy-in into a €450 stt or a €450 1 handed omaha.
