Test waiting times

    Howayas,
Anyone know roughly the waiting times for tests in either Naas or Drogheda. Mate has been waiting nearly a year for Naas. Surely for bikes it can't be that bad? I got my car test in 5months in Naas.

    cheers

The testers for cars are different to the testers for bikes.

Most test centres outside Dublin would be at least a year's wait, Raheny in Dublin used to be 8-10 weeks but I believe this has changed in the last few months to a 5 month wait.

I'd give the RSA a buzz and find out - they might be able to change your mates centre or at least give an estimate of how long.

Can you do a bike test in Drogheda? Thought it was only for cars at this time - mate had the option of Dundalk or Navan (he's just been called for Dundalk next month, waiting 5 months or so).

Ah only guessed at drogheda. I could do dundalk or navan. also would it be better to own a bike for the test, as in get plenty of practice riding around beforehand or is it possible to get 10 or so hours of lessons and then sit the test??

    cheers lads!
