Not that i've heard of Magdeline.

Its basically a room where you are provided with Bookmakers SIS and Turf TV (4-5 secs faster than at the races). You also get access to one click betting software. you have top pay for you seat like in an internet cafe. They have 3 in London and a couple spread around the UK. used to be one in the merrion casino but its closed now.

there was one in a casino in dublin a while back but it was closed down
you used to be able to lodge/withdraw in cash etc.
i only went in a handful of times to check it out

it was very nice, so nice that you knew it'd be a non runner, as where the hell was the cash coming from to have all these fancy pc's and big monitors showing racing all day for a bunch of jokers

i'm fairly sure it didn't charge
a seperate betfair account was set up through them where you could use cash to lodge/withdraw
and I believe they made a %'age on lodging and then a %'age on commission

    but I don't actually know

would you reckon people would go to one if they had to pay? - its £40 a seat in one of the rooms in London - £280 a week - thats serious cash - they must be making a fortune to affrd that - guess they have a huge advantage

A Victor Chandler shop opened up in the IFSC a few days ago, would it be something similar?

No it's just a bookies with a new carpet and a few seats, nothing different than the norm. Betting is per any other bookies in any other town.

It will only serve to bring the original residents of Dublin 1 closer in touch with the IFSC
