So I just ordered my concert tickets and flights and spent the best part of 2 hours looking for a cheap hotel/B&B in lonodon.. All I found was places to expensive just for staying one night.. Im wondering has anyone ever went to a concert in the Astoria and stayed near by in a cheap hotel/B&B?

I just need some names and I can figure it out myself from there :)

Ill keep looking now though and post up places I find!

    Thanks :)

It really depends how much you want to spend, personally would not go for a B&B, you can get some excellent value in the range of hotels in the South Kensington area of London, one in particular for around £80 per night with breakfast included in what I would consider to be a 4* hotel What is your budget?

What one in particular is that? We are expecting to spend around that amount.

Meh. Too much. Looking at a decent enough looking one in Paddington for about 80E. Is that a good location?
I think it's decent anyway because they don't say that they have a 'colour t.v' :D

Very handy for Heathrow as you have the Paddington express which brings you into Paddington in 15 mins from Heathrow though is more expensive than tube. Paddington is pretty much centrally located, though because you have the tube almost everywhere is easily reached. I would check out the following website, you can put the name of the hotel in and see what reviews are like.

    www.tripadvisor.com

I would also check out www.holidayinn.co.uk and do a serach for some less expensive Holiday inns. Holiday inns tend to be good bets, yes some are better than others but are usually a safe bet.

The Ibis near Euston Station is central and reasonably priced.

    I stayed here once: www.stgiles.com

'tis very central. From their website:
    • 50 Yards from Tottenham Court Road Tube Station (servicing Northern & Central Line)
    • 50 yards from Oxford Street
    • ¼ Mile from Euston Rail & Tube Station
    • ½ Mile from Kings Cross Rail & Tube Station
    • 670 Bedrooms - Standard, Superior, Mini Suites and Executive Rooms Available
    • 6 Conference & Meeting Rooms
    • All Rooms are ensuite shower/wc, with Tea & Coffee Facilities, Direct Dial Telephones with Voicemail, Hairdryer, In Room Digital Safe, Remote Control TV with Pay Movies
    • Central YMCA Leisure Centre with indoor 25 metre Fitness Swimming Pool
    • Il Grasso 'Italian' Restaurant
    • Chikara 'Chinese' Restaurant
    • The Lazy Dog Bar
    • NCP Car Park - Chargeable

They've two hotels, one at LHR and one's the one in London city, that I'm referring to.

It's £97 if you book on their website, £92 if you book on Expedia.co.uk. Maybe you could get it cheaper on other sites..

Thanks for replies (on a hijacked thread)
I booked one thats between Victoria stn and Pimlico for about 80E.
Reviews say its a bit small, but it's clean, central and looks alright.
I'll presume the TV is Colour :)
We are only staying for 2 nights anyway.
Is it worth getting the express train from Gatwick, or just the normal one?

I normally get the Southwestern (?) train. It's a little cheaper, takes a little longer but does the trick!

    Ask for deals for groups.
