    Hey guys,

i got a new apple keyboard for home use on my MBP and was going to bring in the old white one to the office to use on my windows machine there.

Does anyone know if it will work and if yes....what profile or preferences need tweaking to have it match the xp keyboard. Eg: will quotation marks etc. be mapped to the right keys?

It will work for sure ... and you probably won't notice any difference. I've been using an Apple keyboard on my Windows machine for the past few weeks. Even the volume control keys work ... and I loaded no drivers or tweaks on the Windows box (Dell Dimension 5000, XP Pro, SP2).

Apparently there are some keys not present on an Apple keyboard, such as Num Lock, PrtScr and Scroll Lock ... but I've not missed them.

The keyboard will work perfectly well. If everything is set to UK (for me) settings, it'll work fine. The numlock key only works on windows, actually.

the newer ones work of vista as well just as a point of knowledge although you need to download a piece of software called Sharp-key or sharpy-keys to map the volume up/down/mute buttons

All good answers guys...will bring in tomorrow and try it out. IF any trouble i'll let you know.

Does that mean the number pad does not have arrow key or page up/page down functionality. Won't miss it but just curious what the implication of having no Num Lock will mean
