Prepay for Hotel in Paris

    Hi guys,

I'm arranging a weekend away for very good friends of mine in Paris in July as it is their 20th wedding anniversary. I know that the normal process for hotels is that they only charge a deposit when you book and then charge the full amount when checking out. I was wondering if anyone knows of any hotels where you can prepay the bill or provide a letter of authorisation giving permission for your credit card to be deducted. I've tried ringing a few hotels and asking but they don't understand what I'm asking and just tell me to make a reservation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you book through expedia.co.uk or alpharooms.com etc the bill is paid at the time of reservation
