I bought the irish examiner last friday, in the business section it had an article about a galway (i think) man who has developed a way to transfer a feature length film to a usb stick in 26.6 seconds. and has the backing of the movie inductsy to trial movie kiosks in ireland.

Anyway i forgot the paper at work and it was dumped, and the examiner dont seem to respond to emails. would anyone here have read the article? maybe even still have the paper? might i be able to get a scan or the text from it?

its relates to the idea for my final year project in college, the proposal has to be in within a week :(
    cheers

that's been doing the rounds for months now. can't see it happening anytime soon, especially not in Ireland.

I think that 15 - 30 seconds is quite optomistic. The time it takes to transfer a film would be dependant on the size of the video file and the transfer rate of the usb drive. Considering most people only take into account the size of the usb drive and end up getting crappy cheap drives means that it will take a hell of a lot longer.
