anyone know of a good instructor for pre-test lessons in the Dublin 15 area?

Have had lessons before in another area, and have the basics covered, its purely for pre-test experience in the area as I'll be dong my test in the new tyrellstown centre.

    cheers

I would advise anyone who has a test coming up even in the next 6 weeks to book immediaely - I have spent the day on the phone trying to organising anyone to give me a lesson in the area and I found it virtually impossible!!!! All booked up except the lady recommended by Adrienne!! Thank You. Purely impossible to get a car to do the test in though!!! Tried everyone in the area and no luck!!! Left it too late obviously! Thanks though to those who pm'd me

I did my test in Tyrellstown on Thursday last 27th! I passed!! I had Test Route 1. It was a long route - took one hour - There was a supervisor in car as well as my tester! The RSA seemed to be doing supervisions that day as I noticed more as well in other cars at the centre! I would advise anyone doing the test here to cover the reverse around corner well! Also roundabouts, as they took me into every roundabout in the area taking a different exit at each! I had a really good instructor -a lady called Eileen from the area, an independent instructor - she was really good. I had a lesson from another instructor in a different area and he has a good name but I found he was concentrating on areas that they didn't put as much emphasis on in Tyrellstown.

PM me to get details of instructor if required. She is good!!

Has anybody tried Tom McKenna in Dublin 15 ( Delwood area..) I did a few lessons with him and have heard plenty of people doing well with him. He's a nice man. I've also never had any issues getting bookings with him, but he is fairly busy.

guys, i done my driving test in finglas before and failed on observations.i was so so nervous and the tester was really mean to me.
had a few lessons with a school in blanchardstown last week and they were just so brill, gave v cheap lessons too 25euro per hour.
my instructor convinced me to do the test in my own car for this time, a 96 punto. gave me fab tips and just made it fun instead of tence the way i usually drive.

i was much more relaxed, and the driving test examiner was sound out, just chatted to me at start, asked me where all stuff was under the bonnet and was just a great start.

tyrellstown route so much easier than in finglas, i think anyway, but so many damn roundabouts lol. passed in anyway woo hoo..!
just a hint, make sure you check your left mirror when coming off the roundabout well before you even touch the indicator. my instructor just covered everything for my test, and this was something i never even knew about until had the lesson from guy in blanch. i definitely say do your test in tyrellstown, i actually enjoyed it.

had 10 lessons from <SNIP> based in city centre, and the guy just told me to drive all the time, never told me anything, and i blame them cause they didnt tell me enough what was on the test, like mirrors and stuff. sure the guy was still doing the clutch 4 me on my 7th lesson, a waiste of money.

only had 2 hours with the lad in blanch and i passed wooo hooo..
not sure if i can give out the school name or his number on here, can i.......????????
