Not yet - Peter Molyneaux is still talking about a 'Summer' release, but there doesn't appear to have been a more concrete date yet. The Pub Games are expected to be released to XBLA a short while before, though - so you can 'earn' some gold before the full game comes out.

It's definitely one I'll be keep an eye out for, too.

There are some arcade games e.g. something similar to poker/roulette, whose winnings you can take into the main game.
Just a way of making us pay for mini-games if you ask me:mad:

Good point there, i naturally assumed they'd be free for some stupid reason!

Yeah - unfortunately they're paid extra games. They would only be cool, if it helped to reduce the price of the final product - no word on that though (highly unlikely).

I have a quick question about the Co-op in Fable 2, does any one know if there is support for co-op on the same console or is the co-op only over Live???

From the info I've seen It's locally co-op and over live, there's a video preview of it by Peter Molyneaux here.

It's handy because your character will be able to earn gold and experience, in your mates game.

You really need to be careful who you play with, though - because they can kill characters (i.e. your family) in your game and they stay dead even when your mate goes on with himself.

Well you'd have to get into his game and get revenge....a lot friends could fall out over dead virtual families...

So I played about 30 minutes of the Fable 1 and it didn't really capture me. Anyone care to explain why Fable 2 is going to be so amazing (or what I actually missed in Fable 1)?

You might need to play a bit more than 30 minutes...

I thought the 1st one was ok, my main complaint was how linear it was, but Fable II is supposed to be completely free roaming so for me, thats a big improvement...

My main complaint was the voice acting. I heard that thay all dont sound like they are out of a ambrosia commercial this time. Steven Fry lent his vocals to it.

Ah, i thought that was one of the best things about Fable, the accents on the characters was class...

I suppose if you have never played the original it would be worth getting. Its nice to have old games like that lying on your HDD.

Yeah I've never played it. Is there vital stuff to know for the 2nd one from the first?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,618 ✭✭✭Mr Freeze

Well Fable II is set 500yrs after the 1st game...

So its hard to know if there will be much in common story wise besides the world its set in and being a hero...

I'd say you could just jump straight into Fable 2 when it comes out

for me fable 2 is the biggest release since halo, i hope it delivers because its promising a lot
