If she's looking to play you can register on our website. All entrants need to be pre-registered so we know how many packages to book as they are limited.

We are running our €350 Monster Monthly Freezeout on that night as well. It will be 8.30pm start for that with €10,000 guaranteed. Plenty of cash games as people get knocked out in both tournaments.

I'm looking into getting the best rate possible from a few hotels. I'll post when I can confirm the rates and let you know where is best to stay. It shouldn't be too long so bear with me.

Ok i've rang a few places and a lot of them are busy on the Friday night, so you'll need to book early to make sure you have a room.
Morgans hotel is really nice and only 5 minutes away from us. If you ring and quote Monty/casino they should do you a good deal.
Jurys Inn is about 10mins walk and is in a really nice area. They have the usual standard rates and would be a good choice. Also Spanish Arch Hotel is in the same area and they are always good to us.
We're in the centre of Galway so any hotel in town is pretty close to us. If you want somewhere more luxurious then I suggest the Radisson or Hotel Meyrick.

Edit: Let me know how you get on. If you need any more info or want somewhere else to stay you can email me at info@theeglinton.com

Sorry I should have posted details in the above post.
    Jurys Inn - (091)566444
    Spanish Arch - (091)569600
    Forster Court (Morgans) - (091)564111
    Radisson - (091)538300
    Meyrick - (091)564041

All the hotels are close to the casino, with the furthest being 10 minutes walk away.

Yeah I'll get him registered. The ladies tournament starts at 7.30pm and the €350 starts at 8.30pm. You can register for the €350 for the first 3 levels. There'll be a great atmosphere in the club that night so anyone debating to play either should register.

Myself and Martin headed down on Friday afternoon, got stuck in desperate traffic and didn't get to the Eglington til 8.00 p.m. We were hugely impressed by the Casino, great atmosphere, very friendly crowd, complimentary Wine and Beer which is great...

Martin played in the MONSTER MONTHLY TOURNAMENT.... and came 4th. I never got going in the Ladies Event. Willow and Joan Vickers were at my table and Joan was the unlucky 4th (3 prizes up for grab). She got €500 I think so a profit was made. Willow got off to a great start but the blinds caught up to her in the end. I played in the cash game €1 €3 optional €6 live straddle No limit game. I played some unusual hands and got luck in one pot getting runner runner for a straight... made a nice profit for the night.

The crowning moment was bluffing Carrigeen from Boards off a pot and showing fresh air, (I hope you made it home okay, cough cough)......

Yeah it should be a good weekend. Hopefully one of us will do well.
I can't believe both of us qualified in the end. Well done anyways. Everything is booked so we just have to wait now.

I thought it was a good tournament and I'm glad I played. Congrats to Lorraine though. When her pocket queens got bust by pocket queens (flush hit) she was first to exit. But she went on to win the Monster Monthly.

    Looking forward to May now,

    Caroline
