Audi A3 1.6

Any idea's what would cause a lumpy idle on an Audi A3 1.6. Apart from the obvious plugs and Throttle Body have been cleaned. HT leads are fine. Could it be Air Flow meter? Belongs to my Brother in law. It done 70k miles and due a service but very lumpy.
